Howth Road, Raheny

A rear extension to a 1940s semi-detached house in Raheny, creating a new broken-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area facing the garden with generous rooflights above. The new lounge area is sunken to give increased ceiling height and a sense of variety to the space. The design blends Japanese and Scandinavian influences with clean lines, neutral palette and bespoke chestnut joinery throughout. A deep retrofit was carried out alongside the extension, with upgraded insulation, triple glazing, underfloor heating and a heat pump bringing the house to an A2 BER rating.
